One of Germany's most distinguished costume designers, with an acclaimed career spanning cinema, television, opera and theatre, Tanja Liebermann once again demonstrates how costume can become an essential storytelling language. In Blindgänger, every garment subtly reflects the emotional journeys, personal histories and hidden wounds of an extraordinary ensemble, bringing authenticity and humanity to a film where every character matters.

Directed by Kerstin Polte, Blindgänger unfolds in Hamburg after the discovery of an unexploded Second World War bomb forces an entire neighborhood into evacuation. As lives unexpectedly intersect, the film delicately explores memory, trauma, resilience and hope with warmth, humour and remarkable emotional intelligence. Tanja Liebermann's costumes never seek attention for themselves; instead, they quietly reveal identity, vulnerability and connection, enriching one of the year's most moving ensemble dramas. The film premiered at the Hamburg Film Festival before its theatrical release in Germany, receiving recognition for its artistic quality.
